KMCT Medical College was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 100 MBBS seats approved by the Medical Council of India. The College is affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences. The Central Government had accorded recognition for the MBBS course in the year 2013. Postgraduate courses were started in the academic year 2015-16 in Orthopaedics & Pharmacology with an annual intake of one and two respectively. From the academic year 2016-17, the intake of students in MBBS course was increased from 100 to 150 by the approval of Central Government. The Medical College is attached to KMCT Medical College Hospital, which is a tertiary level multispecialty hospital with more than 650 beds. The hospital complex is well equipped & staffed with basic general units & supportive specialities. The hospital has well conducted Cardiology, Neurology & Nephrology departments. Our students have excelled in extracurricular activities and won trophies and medals in arts & sports conducted by Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. They have also won top positions in quiz competitions conducted in various disciplines of medical science at intercollegiate levels. The college has an Alumni Association which meets every year, and also provide valuable suggestions for the improvement of the Institution. The pass percentage of the students, who were admitted in the 2008 batch and have completed the course in 2013 is 100 which is the highest in Kerala. Thereafter, two other batches have completed the course with a pass percentage of 96.2 and 86.88, which is again the highest percentage of pass both under the Calicut University as well as under the 3rd respondent University. Students of this college have secured high positions in the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination with Rank No.10 as well as in the Kerala Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination with Rank no.10 and 15. There are candidates who have secured Rank No.50, 91, 130 and so on in the postgraduate entrance examinations. Many of the students of this college are pursuing their higher studies in institutions with national importance. One of our students of 2009 batch was the second rank holder in the 1st MBBS University Examination under University of Calicut. In 2010 batch another student got the Gold medal for securing the top position in Anatomy of the Ist MBBS Examinations under KUHS. In 2013 batch one student got the 15th rank in the first MBBS Examination. KMCT Medical College has six museums in the campus for the Preclinical and Paraclinical departments of Anatomy, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Pathology. A wide range of specimens, models, charts etc., are exhibited in these museums enabling the students to get a first-hand information about the subjects that they are dealing with. Established in the year 2008, KMCT Medical College Hospital has been reaching out to thousands of people daily creating health awareness, preventing diseases and curing ailments. Affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences and recognized by the Indian Medical Council, KMCT Medical College Hospital has been a real boon to the local population who had to rush to the hospitals in Calicut city after an arduous 25 km long journey in case of an emergency or for any minor ailments.

We were 4 days in general ward. World class cardiac treatment, friendly doctors and staff (5star for doctors and staffs ) Dear concerns, as i see below cleaning staff work, please spend some money for the cleaning trolley and give better working atmosphere and facilities for workers also (pics attached )

Cardiologist was really good , Dr . Prashanth . But frankly speaking Nurses and their attitude was very bad . Cleaning staff , cleanliness , everthing else was bad . And they make you run around for a small thing . And bill was not less compared to good hospitals in calicut city . Its just a strategy that bill will be less in kmct . Nothing like that . Overall Nurses was WORST i have everseen. They should be the one who should be polite and pleasing to patients and their families . And hospital authorities pls do provide some workshop or something for you nurses , on " HOW TO BEHAVE TO PATIENT's AND THEIR BYSTANDER's " very imp.

Probably the best cost effective centre for cardiac interventions and surgeries. Treatments offered are of exemplary quality, and comparatively cheaper when compared with all hospitals in and around Malabar area. Cardiology department runs 24x7, and is at your service even on holidays, when most hospitals don't offer urgent care.

Good care provided , hospital with ICU and critical care facilities, includes biomedical Lab and casualty, good number of doctors and staff . Clean and calm atmosphere provided . 250 meter from Manassery bus stop .

Offering high quality cardiac care at affordable rates. My father underwent Coronary angiography and PTCA in 2012 here. His quality of life has improved exceptionally well since then.

Doctor's are extremely good . But supporting staffs and the mechanism is utterly flopp. No one is responding while calling cardiology booking number.

Good hospital for both who looking for luxury and local.. every people can go there a cheap price hospital with all modern facilities...
