At Guwahati Apollo Hospital, a heart-wrenching incident unfolded, involving a 19-year-old desperately seeking medical help for his mother, afflicted not only with heart issues but also with lung problems and severe diabetes. The doctor, after diagnosing her condition as necessitating a CABG operation due to a purported 90% blockage in her heart, found the family enrolled in the Ayush scheme, promising free treatment. However, their relief was short-lived as they were coerced into paying an additional 80,000 under the guise of acquiring better equipment, a payment for which no receipt was provided. This deceit occurred within the confines of the hospital, shielded from the scrutiny of others. Despite the family's financial strain, they reluctantly parted with the sum to ensure their beloved mother received the care she desperately needed. The day after, she was admitted for surgery. The operation, however, encountered complications due to the mother's highly diabetic state and severe lung damage. Despite these challenges, the surgery was attempted, but it was not without further setbacks. After being brought out of the operation theatre, the mother's condition deteriorated, prompting her return to the theatre and subsequent ventilation. Tragically, the morning brought the devastating news of her passing. The family's hopes for her recovery were shattered, replaced by the bitter realization that their trust had been exploited, their financial sacrifice in vain. The doctor's disregard for the patient's pre-existing conditions, coupled with the greed-driven decision to operate without adequate consideration, resulted in a heartbreaking loss. The grief-stricken family's review, given reluctantly and out of a sense of obligation, serves as both a warning and a plea for justice. It underscores the need for transparency, integrity, and empathy in medical care, urging others to avoid falling victim to similar deceit. NEVER TO AVAIL ANY OF THIS TREATMENT.

A doctor's quality is not only measured by his ability to treat but also by his behaviour, ethics and courteousness. This doc lacks all these. He may be excellent in medical field. My wife is pregnant and her doc advised us to see a ctvs surgeon as she had done thymectomy earlier. We had a prior appointment of Mr Rai and on two consecutive days he kept us waiting without seeing her despite knowing the fact that she was pregnant and cannot travel always. His PA kept us waiting. In second day he called us at early 9 am and still he didn't visit the hospital that day.

OMG even if i thank sir for a million times still not enough.Eleven years ago i was his tiny little patient who got heart surgery by him and i had the best experience, someone said sir is very approachable that's real,and his geniune gesture,honest ,helpful i can't put in word.still remember when I ask him sir why didn't you go for AIIMS or etc etc but he replied i want to serve my people in NE it's a living testimony and by God grace guess what happene I'm too a part of health team now for real .i assure sir will be the best choice ever, down to earth, Dr.Bikas Rai Das, thank you so much sir bless to meet you
