I'm writing this as a deeply frustrated relative of a patient admitted to HCG Hospital Bhavnagar. For a hospital that charges such high fees and claims to be among the best in the city, the reality is shocking.
The toilet facilities are in terrible condition some are broken, many are not cleaned properly, and the hygiene is simply unacceptable for any hospital, let alone a private one. It's heartbreaking to see patients and their families dealing with such conditions when they're already under stress.
On top of that, the staff doesn't seem properly trained or responsive. There's a serious lack of communication, and it feels like no one is really responsible or willing to help unless you keep pushing.
We expected better basic cleanliness, some professionalism, and a bit of compassion. Sadly, this experience has been a huge letdown. I hope the management reads this and does something, because this is not the standard of care people are paying for.

Totally unprofessionally lying staff. Appointment not honored. Ward 9 lady took a known patient in out of turn saying it was an emergency case for TMT. While everyone in waiting area saw that patient walking back n forth in lobby at least for 12 rounds. Is that emergency ????
Some supervisor must know this and fire such person.

My beloved nana was hospitalized here and sadly passed away. During this difficult time, we experienced something very distressing that must be addressed.
The hospital's ambulance service quoted us 100 per km to transport his body to our hometown, Jafrabad (around 160 km one way, 320 km round trip). They demanded 32,000, which is an exorbitant amount. We ended up hiring a larger, better-equipped ambulance from outside the hospital, and the total cost was only 6,000. This clear difference shows how the hospital is exploiting grieving families.
Hospitals should be places of compassion and care, not profit-driven institutions that take advantage of vulnerable people. Sadly, our experience at HCG Bhavnagar felt like the latter.
Moreover, I strongly urge the government to keep an eye on the pricing of hospital services, ambulance charges, medicines, and other essentials. There should be proper regulation to protect common people from such exploitation during already difficult times.
I hope the hospital and the authorities take this feedback seriously and bring necessary reforms so that no other family has to suffer like we did.
