Dr.Ashish Khanijo !!! Absolutely brilliant. That's the first word that comes immediately to one's mind. It was an amazing easy going experience with him at Ruby hall, one of my close friends had just had a heart attack and was detected with more than 90% blocks in his major artery and was suggested a CABG procedure. We were looking for a safe place and an understanding and experienced doctor who would explain the process, the risks involved and the Treatment process. Dr.Ashish was a God Send, not only did he make my friend(the patient undergoing the surgery) feel comfortable and safe ,he also medically and in lay man terms meticulously explained every aspect of the procedure . The post operation consultation and care was great as well... We swanned in and out of this major procedure like breeez. THANK YOU SO MUCH DOCTOR FOR YOUR HELP AND ASSISTANCE

Dr Ashish Khanijo is really the best cardiac surgeon in Pune. Doctors way of approach is very positive. He is also, a nice human being. He replaced my Mom's ( Premlata Jain) Mitral valve successfully. He really did it well. Doctor promtly replied to our every small query. He is really a great surgeon and a very good human being . I wanted to share this review regarding Dr Ashish and Dr M S Hiremath. They suggested open heart surgery for my father last year in Ruby Hall, Pune. I was worried but Dr gave confidence that nothing will happen to my father. At the age of 63, he was not having any other issues like Sugar or BP. Very well maintained. Dr Ashish operated him and same night, I lost my father. My world collapsed. It's more than a year and still I regret my decision and cant sleep peacefully. Dr Hiremath never cared to see my father when he was serious in his last hours.. I have complete faith in God and sure that Karma will punish whoever is responsible for my father's death.

My experience with Dr Ashish Khanijo was great right from Ruby hall admission, MVR surgery & post surgery care till the moment I was discharged from hospital. As per me and my family point of view Dr Ashish is a life saver and God for us. He has given me the rebirth. Dr Ashish is a highly skilled Cardiac surgeon in Pune and Maharashtra. I lost my life's precious gift, my dearest Mother, during a planned CABG surgery at Sahyadri Nagar Road Hospital Pune. She was all fine till the night of her surgery with of course identified complications. In my opinion AVOID Bypass surgery at this hospital unit as they hardly do 1 or 2 or none CABG per month which I did not know. Dr. Ashish is a Gentleman & a successful cardiac surgeon in Pune, who operated my mother. She had undergone kidney stone surgeries (robotic) a year ago & had her creatinine level on a little higher side (2.4), diabetes under control but Nephrologist (Dr. Sachin Patil) & Cardiologist (Dr. Vikrant Khese) both gave us a confidence that she will be just fine after the bypass. I had the first hand bad experience when I was told to arrange the blood from other blood banks when the surgery was still ongoing. For such a big open heart surgery, they don't keep even a single unit as a back up at the hospital, so pathetic. I had second bad experience when post surgery they were trying to shift my mother to ICU through lift & except 1 person, no one knew how to put the CABG patient in the lift. They all looked clueless. The 3rd bad experience was that of ICU (it's a general ward actually). By no means it looked ICU and they don't have a CCU for CABG patient I think although the forms on table had a mention of CCU. After the surgery, the next day they said she is very very critical with low BP, other negative parameters & later they put her on CRRT. For the next 2 days we were again told that she is critical but holding on well & eventually she succumbed without much response to the treatment from her end as told by the doctors. All senior doctors left it to junior doctors in the night shift at 2am to inform us about the eventuality and no one from the senior doctors bothered to talk to us or explain us the circumstances that lead to this eventuality. We were wandering for over 12 hours in the hospital but still the senior doctors did not bother to talk. Now that my mother has gone, I won't blame anyone here but ourselves that we made a mistake of believing in their expertise. Anyone reading this post and planning a CABG based on confidence of the doctors, please avoid it at this hospital. They should atleast know if the patient is medically even fit to undergo such a huge surgery. I suggest visit any other hospital where they carry out CABG regularly as the support staff is trained about it too. I might visit this hospital again for OPD when in need but strictly not for surgeries. I am sorry my Dearest Mom because you believed in me based on my discussions with the doctors about your surgery. I feel sorry for my brother and sister who believed that what I am doing is right for her. I failed everyone.

Dr Ashish Khanijo is a life saver. I just don't have enough words to thank him. He performed bullectomy and lobectomy surgery on me. I am writing this review after 5 months fully fit and fine.
