Recently my father was operated on by Dr. Saumya for a bypass surgery at KIMS Hospital, Thane. My father has all the complications like diabetes, hypertension, thyroid and even his heart functioning was weak. He also had a minor heart attack. We were very much scared and even my dad was not ready for the surgery. But thanks to Dr. Saumya, after meeting him, we felt confident, and even my dad became prepared for the surgery because of the doctor. Dr. Saumya is by far the best cardiac surgeon and more so he is a good human being, always cheerful, optimistic and ready to help his patients all the time. He is one of the best Dr for heart. Haven't seen a doctor like him in my entire life, who is a very soft spoken and humble person , receives every call. Takes interest to explain again and again to patient relatives so as to keep them updates and on the same page. Basically values every patient relatives. So we were looking for cardiac surgeon , through one of our relatives, we got reference of Dr. Saumya Shekhar. I felt very amused and nice that before even meeting him, he collected patient's medical history from me through our telephonic conversation and assured me about my father's well being. Then upon meeting him, then at the time of operation, during post op process, We experienced the same warmth from him. He is very soft spoken. He neatly explained all the medical treatment, its complications and remedies regarding my father's case. He is very particular about his patient's treatment and gives preference to patient's speedy recovery. He himself used to call me and kept the track of my father's recovery after discharge.
