My mother has undergone CMV (1986) and DVR (Mitral+Aortic, Bioprosthetic) at AIIMS New Delhi 15 years back. Mitral Valve had degenerated and calcified now resulting in Mitral Stenosis and Regurgitation. She was severely symptomatic and became breathless on minimal activity. Being above 70 yrs, diabetic, hypertensive and previous 2 open cardiac surgeries she was a poor/ high risk candidate for open surgery. Upon exploring options I was strongly recommend Dr Ravinder Singh Rao for TMVR. Although many discouraged me saying that the procedure is extremely high risk and still in infancy I explored the option. I express my gratitude to Dr Budhaditya Chakraborty who introduced me to Dr Ravinder Singh Rao. Right from first meeting he gained my trust and after a brief family discussion we decided to go ahead with TMVR. I really appreciated the immediate post procedure debriefed wherein I was explained the procedure undertaken with videos. I couldn't help admiring his competence to undertake such procedure. I was amazed at the ease with which the complex procedure was completed. Dr Rao patiently answered all my queries. Being a doctor myself I felt as if I was talking to my brother, rather than a colleague. Post procedure care was really good. I could visibly appreciate the dramatic improvement my mother had after procedure. Recovery was swift and we returned home happily without any issues. Overall stay at RHL Jaipur is now one beautiful memory where my mother has been bestowed with new life. Dr roa & his team are the person for all cardio problems.they listen to all ur problem n attend u whenever the want arises my mom had gone for a complex angioplasty aged 73 while all doctors had recommended open heart but dr.ravindra singh roa at Rajasthan hospital had taken the risk of angioplasty n within arriving the next day he n his team successfully conducted angioplasty with just 2 stents. Hello everyone, I yesterday got my ASD of 34mm treated by Dr. Ravindra Rao , the most humble, dedicated and understanding doctor you can ever meet and gives the best possible and safest of the treatments. Since the defect was large most of the doctors told that it had to be treated through surgery while i was told surgery was safe still as patient we hesitate, then we consulted Dr. Rao and he told about the device approach and said they could try it at least if the device doesn't work then the surgery is there as always. His great experience in the field helped and i am finally fit with perfectly fitted device. It all seems like wonder or say miracle of Doctors and medicine to me.
