I had a very disappointing experience at Apollo Diagnostic Centre, Kondapur. I had booked a lab test online for 10:00 AM the previous day itself, expecting a smooth and timely process. I arrived well before time, around 9:30 AM, only to find complete confusion at the reception. There was no proper queue, no clear guidance, and no one to direct patients systematically.
When I informed the staff that I had booked online, one of the representatives told me that I still had to register again in person - something that was neither mentioned during the booking process nor communicated clearly. Despite reaching on time, I was told to wait until 12:00 AM just to be routed to the lab area. After that, I was told it would take another 2 to 3 hours for the tests. This makes the whole concept of time-slot-based booking absolutely pointless.
To make matters worse, the staff member I spoke to was rude and dismissive. Instead of offering help or clarification, he spoke in a tone that made the entire interaction feel rushed and unprofessional. The process was chaotic, and it seemed like no one was in charge or taking ownership of patient experience.
What's most frustrating is that patients often come fasting for lab tests. I had already fasted overnight and then was expected to wait another 3-4 hours without any assurance or support. That's not just poor service -- it's highly irresponsible and inconsiderate towards patient well-being.
Considering the hype around Apollo as a reputed brand, I expected better. Unfortunately, this branch does not live up to that name. There is no proper management, no empathy, and no accountability. I would not recommend anyone to visit this diagnostic centre. If you're considering getting tests done here, I strongly suggest exploring better, more patient-friendly alternatives
Unprofessional and Dismissive Behavior by Nurse (Named Subha Sri)
We visited Apollo Hospital, Kothaguda, Hyderabad on 30th June 2025 at 7:30 PM for a scheduled 2D-Echo test, which was part of a Comprehensive Health Check Package ( for which we paid 11,899). We had been following up on this test since 27th June 2025, and unfortunately, the experience with the nursing staff in charge of the cardiology section, particularly "Nurse Subha Sri", was extremely disappointing and distressing.
Despite multiple polite inquiries:
The first time, we approached her to confirm doctor availability -- she responded casually while walking into the room, without giving us her attention or proper acknowledgment.
On our second attempt, we asked whether we could leave the file for the test, but she did not respond at all.
The third time, we explained that we had been waiting since Friday for this test, hoping for consideration -- her response was dismissive and apathetic. Without even making eye contact, she replied, "You have to wait till the other appointments are completed."
What made the situation worse was her complete unwillingness to listen or empathize with our concern, despite us being paying patients waiting for several days. When we expressed our intent to escalate the issue, her response was shockingly rude and unprofessional: in front of other patients and staff, she said, "Go and complain to whoever you want. Let's see what happens," as if challenging us to take action.
This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in a healthcare environment, where compassion, empathy, and professionalism should be non-negotiable. Nurse Subha Sri's attitude made us feel neglected and disrespected, as though we were receiving charity rather than paid medical services.
To add context, this is the second negative experience we've had at Apollo in the last six months, particularly within the cardiology department. Such incidents have made us seriously question whether we can continue to trust Apollo Hospital for future appointments.
We had reached out to Mr.Siva Kumar who is the in charge manager and escalating point to address this concern. Hopefully they should take appropriate action so that other patients will not fact such experience.
Review is regarding Annual health check up booked online.
Services are pathetic. Most of the test are done for formality. Tests will be done quickly. For instance, Total time for TMT was just 7 minutes including everything. They don't even have BP machine, they just check the pulse by hand without using any machine. They did different test than what was booked. Reports got misplaced by the center. Sample collected was lost by them.
Feedback on general physician: She doesn't know anything and lacks even common sense. Prescribing everyone same multivitamin irrespective of the deficiency proven by test. Even if the ECG report said that it's abnormal, she said it's normal.
In brief, test reports and doctors are not reliable.
Too much crowded, very long que and mismanagement. Keep 5 hours in hand for all the test to be completed. Do not rely on booking online slots. There will be fresh line after reaching.
Food is insufficient for everyone.
If you're parking your car in underground parking then be prepared for the car to get dirty and filled with bird's shit here and there. Parking is unclean and smelly.
Misdiagnosis, Unnecessary Medication, and Unethical Practices at Apollo Clinic
I am writing this review to share a recent and concerning experience with an ENT specialist at the Apollo Clinic in Kondapur. I visited the clinic for a simple issue: a wax blockage in one of my ears.
The doctor I consulted diagnosed an ear infection, claiming to see pus in my ear. Based on this diagnosis, I was prescribed a course of antibiotics, a painkiller, and an antacid. The doctor then scheduled a follow-up appointment for an ear wash five days later. When I questioned the need for antibiotics, the doctor reiterated that there was pus in my ear.
Unconvinced by this diagnosis, I sought a second opinion at Star Hospital in Nanakramguda just two hours later. The ENT specialist at Star Hospital examined my ear and immediately proceeded to remove the wax blockage. The doctor made no mention of any infection or pus. When I inquired about the ear wash that the previous doctor had recommended, the doctor at Star Hospital informed me that ear washing is now a prohibited practice and explained the reasons why.
It has been 24 hours since the wax removal at Star Hospital, and I am completely fine. I have no pain or any other issues with my ear. This leads me to believe that the initial diagnosis of an infection at the Apollo Clinic was inaccurate. The prescription of antibiotics was not only unnecessary but also highlights a concerning trend of over-prescribing medication. The differing opinions on the ear wash procedure also raise questions about the first doctor's adherence to current medical practices.
To be fair, I must mention that I did not face any issues with waiting time at the Apollo Clinic; the process was quite efficient. However, this brings me to another deeply troubling issue. After my consultation, a nurse outside the doctor's office asked me to provide a review. She took my phone number and told me I would receive an OTP. I assumed a review link would be sent to me via message, but the OTP was actually for confirming the feedback submission itself. The nurse proceeded to give a rating and feedback to the doctor on my behalf, without asking a single question about my actual experience.
This unethical practice of fabricating positive reviews is alarming. Combined with the significant lapse in diagnostic accuracy and treatment protocol, my experience was very negative. I would advise anyone seeking ENT care to be extremely cautious and, if in doubt, to always seek a second opinion.
Its a good pleasure for full body check up. Quite efficient and very fast. It worth going there
