Dr. Venkata Rayudu Nekkanti - Best Cardiologist in Hyderabad | Apollo Hospitals

Dr.Rayudu , More than a Cardiologist, he is our family doctor. My father Mr.Raghunandan underwent Cardiac Bypass surgery 18 years back under his supervision. Again in 2021 we had to approach him for regular checkup but figured out we had series of ongoing issues to deal with, which no one informed us. Initially angiogram had calcification issues . We tried to fix it with medications but In the process realised that we needed to go for pace maker too. On operation bed while they were installing pacemaker, my father got stroke (Angina). He was put to ICU for 2 days and we went for stunts. Post stunts we had some lung infections and drop in sodium levels. Again we were put to ICU 3rd time. Let's agree , we didn't have a good time with too many ICUs and even hesitated to join back to Apollo but only reason we went ahead is only bcoz of rayudu and my father's trust on him. There were time I got irritated with rayudu too but he patiently understood the trauma we're being through and took necessary steps understanding patient condition. My father underwent 3 stunts, 1 pace maker surgery under rayudu and he is doing good at age of 73. All in all, he is a good man Professionally n Personally and a honest soul. Thanks Dr Rayudu for everything n being our well wisher !

Doctor Rayudu gaaru is an excellent, compassionate and caring doctor who has gone above and beyond his professional duties to care for my parents. He ensures that he is always reachable and keeps the patient and patient's family well informed. He patiently answers any questions and concerns that the patient has. He gives them confidence and courage like a family member every step of the way throughout the treatment process. It is a blessing to have him take care of my parents.

My father is being treated by Dr N Venkat Rayudu Garu. When I first met him in the month of April ,i saw he is serious in his job with lots of compassion and empathy . He made me comfortable not coming as high and mighty but as a humble DR who is interested to take care of his patient to his best of abilities and make the extended family understand the health concerns ,issues and what he is planning to do . He explained the medication and also said because of his age I will monitor every week the impact of medicines so we can reduce or increase That made me and my sisters and brother very confortable. Pathetic doctor... Not recommended at all. We just visited him for a general consultation where the patient was fit and fine. He without listening forced us for a ECG that was fine with us as well considering its a general checkup. The reports came normal. During our talks he understood we work for MNC implying we have an insurance. Post those sentences he and his staff's behaviour changed. He started to force us for an angiogram without a need for the same. When inquired he just said it's not required but get it done now. He just started forcing us not verbally but physically. He just got on us to get angiogram done making the patient so uncomfortable. He just repeatedly forced us creating terror in our minds. He grabbed his car keys and just kept forcing us to go and also kept saying it's not needed but let's go let's do it. Honestly he and his staff were on our nerves and literally terrorized us to an extent it seemed impossible to avoid the situation. We kept saying we will take the medications and visit tomorrow to which he said you won't return let's go now. In the end I told him I'm coming back in a minute post purchasing meds to which he forced me to show the meds and return back quicky that I'm actully not running away. Trust me those moments were the worst ever experience for us. The patient was so much in trauma that was impossible to forget. The patient was inconsolable and just felt as the end of this world. Trust me it was an irreplaceable damange done to the patients mental being that will take time to heal.

Doctor Rayudu garu treated my father for his cardiac / COPD. He understands the patent well and listens to the background before evaluation. He is very knowledgeable and dependable. I would highly recommend him for any cardiac consultations.

VERY BAD!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!! Please stay away from this quack - not professional and not at all knowledgeable. Money hungry person. Goes on doing several unwanted investigations which are not related to the issue and refers to several of his other specialist friends to make money. I had a very bad experience with this quack - We were visiting India and my mom (about 80 years old) was down with viral infection/low sodium and saw this guy at Apollo hospital, Jubilee Hills hospital. She was sent to ER and was in ICU for 3 days and they did several unwanted investigations amounting to over Rs. 100,000 and she was referred to several specialists like, Diabetes, Nephrologist, Urgent care and so on amounting to over Rs 30,000 on consultation fee. He stopped all her earlier medicines that she was using for the last 15+ years for managing her BP and she was given only one tab (EFNOCAR) to manage her BP., which was constantly over 170/90. He said it would stabilize as she was on other meds earlier. Somehow, after a lot of arguments and fighting, we got her discharged. Paid about Rs 2.6 Lacs for 4 days at Apollo hospital - When we asked for an itemized cost and breakdown details for charges, found several issues with the bill that hospital charged without giving them to patient. For example - Blood sugar test for 32 times @ Rs 320 per test. She was in ICU for 3 nights and not sure how they could have done this for 32 times - God knows why it is required as her sugar levels are normal and I can understand 3 times a day but, they charged for 32 times. Also, apparently, they charged for 12 Saline bottles and not even one bottle was used. Her sodium levels were managed on the last night by one Tablet called 'NATRAISE'. There were several anomalies in the bill which was brought to the notice of the billing department/hospital authorities and they did not care to listen to us. We came back to US and had her checked by her regular doctors and they were very shocked and surprised to note why all the meds that she was using for over 15 years were stopped as some of these would help to protect her kidneys etc...They were very upset with the treatment given by these guys at Apollo hospital especially by this Dr. Rayudu and questioned the need for stopping her BP meds as they need to only fix her current issue - viral infection and treatment for low sodium levels. She is back on her usual meds and doing fine now - Thank God we are back and don't have to deals with crooks! This is a very BIG lesson for all of us and I want everyone to be aware of these guys. Please do not get into the trap!! Please STAY AWAY from these types of so-called doctors!!! .
