I want to share something about the good hands of two great doctors recently. They are Dr. Bikash Majumder and Dr Sumanto Mukhopadhyay, Sr. cardiology consultants of Apollo Multispecialty Hospital, Kolkata. My mother having age of 78 years, was suffering from breathlessness since last 2-3 months. The echocardiography revealed that she was having severe calcified aortic stenosis and moderate mitral stenosis. She had been admitted in Apollo on 18-01-2025 under the medical supervision of Dr Majumder as her aortic valve has to be replaced as early as possible. Considering the co-morbidities (Diabetes, Hyperthyroidism, cardiac and nervous system issues), Dr Majumder suggested a modern minimally invasive procedure which involves smaller incisions and a catheter instead of open-heart surgery. Her TAVI was planned on 23-01-2025. However, she has developed an acute Left Ventricular Failure on 20-01-2025 during her stay at Cath-ward. She was attended immediately by Dr Majumder and rushed to ICU. All sorts of treatment required was provided to her to overcome her emergency situation. Though I was very nervous and worried about my mother critical health but it was really fantastic to have Dr Majumder who was very cool and confident during the whole episode and always provide confidence which really helped me a lot to release my tremendous mental pressure. Considering her heart condition, the scheduled date of TAVI was preponed to 22-01-2025. Meanwhile her creatinine was growing up gradually. It is very much worthwhile mentioning that each and every aspect of her health was extraordinarily taken care by Dr Majumder. Ultimately TAVI was done under anaesthesia by Dr Majumder and Dr Sumanto Mukhopadhyay, eminent Sr cardiologist of Apollo. After the successful operation and post procedural monitoring, she had been discharged on 25-01-2025. Both the doctors did a miraculous job and the procedure was absolutely successful without having any complications due to age or co-morbidity. It was just their magical and blessed hands for which it was possible and mother got her new life. Presently, she is doing well and still under medical supervision of Dr Majumder at our residence. I am overwhelmed and fortunate enough to have this two great doctors for my mother and pray to almighty for the infinite success in their future life for the welfare of entire mankind.

I am immensely greatful to Dr. Bikash Majumdar for my angioplasty treatment. The way he explained, guided us, only enhanced our trust in him. 10 years ago he treated my mother with the same care and compassion. We are eternally greatful.
