I can say this with full confidence that Dr. Sumanta Chaterjee is one of the best cardiologist available in West Bengal. He should be one's go-to doctor for any cardiovascular issues. He does angiography as well as operates on patients. He was recommended to us by Dr. Bastab Ghosh (another gem in uro-oncology) when we needed immediate treatment for my uncle. My uncle was a complete heart failure patient, with 3 arteries at 100% blockage and 1 artery at 90%. He suffered multiple heart attacks and was at the verge of death when we took him to Dr. S. Chatterjee. We received immediate treatment from him who performed angio and later recommended CABG (4 grafts). He successfully operated and saved my uncle's life at a time when we had already given up hope. Therefore, one can understand our complete faith in him. Since then, he has treated many of my family members including my mother, who is a diabetic patient for the last 27 years. Dr. Sumanta Chaterjee does not suggest useless tests or medicines. He is very concise and precise with his treatment plan. I will recommend him with my eyes closed to anyone in need for a cardiology surgeon.
