He was simultaneously a Consultant at Imperial College Hospitals NHS Trust, West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and The Wellington Hospital. He has held senior roles in these institutions, including Head of Cardiology and Director of the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. He studied medicine at the University of Cambridge. His training as a resident doctor, and specialist training in Cardiology, was at some of the most respected medical institutions in the UK: Addenbrooke's and Papworth Hospitals in Cambridge and St George's, St Mary's and Hammersmith Hospitals in London.
