At 86 years of age, she underwent catheter based aortic valve replacement (TAVI) which was minimally invasive compared to the historic open heart surgery. We consulted Dr. Manik Chopda Sir six months ago regarding my mother Sunitaben shah 's heart valve treatment. She is 71 years old now and had undergone open-heart surgery 10 years ago with a Trifecta valve.
Dr. Manik Chopda Sir patiently explained briefly difference between open-heart surgery and TAVI. After carefully understanding , he suggest us to put Medtronic FX Valve & we decided to proceed with TAVI, which is considered a much safer and less invasive procedure, especially for elderly patients like my mother.

My mother Name Usha Agarwal, She had underwent Mitral Replacement Surgery in 2010, from April 2024 she was having breathing issue and not able to daily work and not able to walk and was diagnosed with Severe MR and Severe TR since old Mitral bioprostethic valve was degenerated , we were not able to have a right guidance anywhere, In Nov 2024 we got confirmation after TEE that Redo surgery will be high risk and we have to do TMVR. Since my mother is having Severe MR and Severe TR both so we were having huge Financial issues too as cost of both the procedure were very high . We got reference of Dr Manik Chopra Ahmedabad unit of Narayana Hrudalaya, on a call he guide us the right way to proceed further and then we came to Ahmedabad Narayana Hrudalaya, we got very good coordination from entire team of Narayana Hrudalaya, right from the admission till the discharge, entire staff is very good and trained. My mother had TMVR sucessfully along with lampoon with protection on 30th dec after 1 day she able to walk comfortably. Thanks to Doctor Manik Chopra and entire Medical unit .
