Sterling Hospitals - Gurukul Ahmedabad

I had an appointment on 12th August 2025 with the doctor and travelled over 300 km with the patient for this visit. Unfortunately, upon reaching, I was informed that the doctor was on leave. Shockingly, there was no prior call, message, or email from the hospital informing us of this, despite having booked the appointment well in advance. To make matters worse, after we arrived early in the morning, patients who came later were registered before us, and seen earlier, while we kept waiting. This shows a complete lack of coordination and respect for patients' time and effort. There is no doubt that the doctor is excellent, but the management team is extremely poor -- disorganized, unprofessional, and inconsiderate towards patients, especially those traveling from far distances. Such service is unacceptable for a reputed hospital. If management does not take immediate action to improve communication and patient handling, they risk losing the trust of patients who value both medical expertise and basic courtesy.

Good amenities, services and staff. Real hospital with hospitality. I recommend dr.bhupesh shah for heart surgery. The management and SOP of this hospital impressed me. Price is little higher but when you see the services you will be satisfied. Cafeteria and canteen also available for relatives. Taste is good and price is reasonable. The insuranse claim department is little bit disappointing me. Overall recommend hospital for heart surgery.

My name is Tajaram Chaudhary and I am from Rajasthan. For the past three years, I have been going from one hospital to another, meeting different doctors, but I did not receive any proper treatment or medication. I have been suffering from a condition called Chronic Pericarditis with Calcification, in which a layer forms around the heart, causing it to pump very slowly. Due to this, I experienced symptoms like water retention in the abdomen, swelling in the legs, shortness of breath, difficulty walking, and an inability to sit for long periods. In Jodhpur, I consulted several hospitals and doctors, but none of them were able to properly diagnose what exactly was wrong with me. My brother, who lives in Ahmedabad, knows an orthopaedic doctor - Dr. Jawahar T. Jethwa at Anjali, Ahmedabad. He told us about his friend Dr. Sukumar H. Mehta at Sterling Hospital, Memnagar, who had recently performed a surgery on a patient with the same condition as mine. On his recommendation, we went to meet Dr. Sukumar H. Mehta. Honestly speaking, he was the first doctor in Ahmedabad who asked for my case CD, which contained all the detailed reports and information. He thoroughly explained what this condition actually is and clearly told us that there is no medication for it - surgery is the only and best treatment available. While other doctors had also mentioned surgery, the way Dr. Mehta explained everything gave us a completely different level of satisfaction and confidence. He even explained the surgery budget in such a way that it wouldn't cause us any financial strain. After a lot of discussion and careful thought, I got admitted on 29th July 2025, and finally, we went ahead with the surgery on 30th July 2025. Throughout the entire operation process, Dr. Mehta handled the situation so well that everything went smoothly, and we felt there was nothing to worry about. Even after the operation, the support and care from his entire staff were truly commendable. He managed the entire treatment and budget in such a way that everything was done within the estimated cost we had planned. There were no unnecessary expenses or inflated charges at all. I can confidently say that our overall experience with Sterling Hospital and Dr. Sukumar H. Mehta was excellent and truly satisfying. Highly recommended!

I have been going to sterling for my biennial Periodic Medical Examination the past couple of times. Their helpdesk in Preventive Health Checkup department is really efficient and handles a patient in a sensitive and timely manner. Vineeta maam and Nurse Alpa maam were a big help. Keep uo the good work everyone.

We pay huge amount for best service. Since a week waiting area outside transplant unit Air conditioner not working. Even after so many complaints till date AC not working. Never seen such a big inconvenience at a small hospital.

My father Got a open heart surgery there. First of all Doctors are really humble and helpful. Ground staff and nurses are so good and attentive.

Good hospital in ahmedabad Specially in cardiology Echo department's Mr.Hiren vaghela is very good person. He has a soft tone and respect patient and patient's relative. His talk style is good and alwys smile on face.
